Over the years, Minecraft’s world generation mechanics have undergone massive overhauls. One of the biggest changes players have noticed is that many biomes get dropped, changed, added, or combined during updates. The full list of Minecraft biomes is completely different from what I’ve been used to for the past several years. There are now more caves, cliffs, and biomes to explore, which makes the game much more exciting for me. Here is a complete list of every biome in Minecraft.
A complete list of Biomes in Minecraft
There are three dimensions currently in Minecraft: the Overworld, the Nether, and the End. The Overworld has the most biome diversity, including an assortment of biomes unique to the ocean. By discovering 17 distinct biomes, players can earn the Adventuring Time achievement.

All Cave Biomes in Minecraft
Most of these cave biomes were added during the Caves & Cliffs update in 1.17 and 1.18.
All Nether Biomes in Minecraft
These biomes exist in The Nether, which can be accessed using aNether Portal.
All End Biomes in Minecraft
These biomes can be found in The End, where the final boss, the Ender Dragon, lives. To access this area, you must use anEnd Portal.
That’s all the biomes currently in the game! Be sure to check back with each update for changes, especially if the update did any modifications to world generation.
