With a massive cast list, you might be wondering what options you have for romance in Unicorn Overlord. You might be surprised at the sheer amount of units that you may romance as Alain.
Love interests and non-romantic partners in Unicorn Overlord
There are more than sixty units you can pick up throughout the length of Unicorn Overlord, and many of these are romance or non-romantic partner options. In order to romance a unit, you will need to recruit them first, then you will need to bring theirrapport up to the maximum level. After that, you will need to complete theirRapport Conversations; there will be between one and three of these depending on the character. Once those are complete, you need to head to theRite of the Covenantand choose which unit to get together with. Amalia
Amalia will make you fight her before she accepts your proposal; she’s not sure if the ring will fit, but she wants to try it on anyway.

Berengaria is unique in that you actually get a choice in the middle of her romance scene; after offering her the ring, she will reject you. When she asks if you’re ready to deal with the consequences of that, you get to choose either: “I would never do that,” or “We’ll face those consequences together.” If you pick the first option, she will reject you again and leave. If you pick the second, she will agree to be your wife. And she’s one of the few cutscenes at the Rita that actually has a kiss at the end.

For those who like romancing Halisn in Baldur’s Gate 3, you can romance an actual bear man in Unicorn Overlord.

Chloe is the least romantic scene of all the possible female choices, but her scene is still pretty cute. She’s very focused on getting to know the real Alain and not his princely facade.

Govil isn’t a romantic, but you can still spend the rest of your life with him. It’ll be fun to have someone to pal around with after the war is over.

Josef has been watching over Alain since he was a child, and thankfully, Unicorn Overlord doesn’t treat their Covenant as a romance. Your vassal will become your equal and help you defeat the final evil as a sort of adoptive father.
Leah
Lex
Lex has finally learned how to make bread, and you’re able to become BFFs with this burgeoning baker. This Unicorn and Maiden choice is not romantic at all, but instead about being the best of buddies.
Lhinalagos
As you give Lhinalagos the Ring of the Maiden, there is a sweet moment where Alain asks if he can call him by his nickname.

Melisandre is a my personal favorite character, and I would choose her again over everyone else on this list. When you first met, she asked to be consort, and now it’s your turn to make her blush.

Scarlett appears to be the “canon” love interest of Unicorn Overlord. She’s been by your side for a long time, and you did rush to save her, so she seems like a great choice for a queen.

Virginia is your first cousin, but you have been betrothed for most of your lives, as is often the case with royal families. If you choose Virginia, you will get a very sweet scene with her, and an adorable kiss for your trouble.
