Mother Gothel is a potential friend to have in the Valley despite being a somewhat sinister and conniving villain. However, she is one of the hardest characters todevelop Friendshipwith quickly.
Mother Gothel has some particularly difficult Friendship quests to complete, like her task of restoring the Sunstone. This quest will take some patience because it must occur at several different times throughout the day. Here’s how to complete it.
Where to find all Sunstone Fragments in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To attain this quest for Mother Gothel, you must reach a Friendship of 7 or up with her, have all of the Biomes unlocked, and progress further in the main story quests. She recruits your help in piecing back together the Sunstone, broken intothree Fragments. These Fragments are scattered in various Biomes across the Valley:Sunlit Plateau,Forest of Valor, and theGlade of Trust. However, you will need to search these locations at specific times to find the Fragments.
The game is set to mimic yourlocal timein-game. According to the quest, each fragment will only be visible during these exact times:

Sunlit Plateau Sunstone Fragment Location
The first Fragment can be found inSunlit Plateauin themorning, between the times8am to 11am.It will appear on the southeastern side of the river of the Plateau toward the bottom corner, as shown in the map above. You should see anorange Dawn Fragmentappear in this area.
Glade of Trust Fragment Location
The second Fragment is in theGlade of Trust, theyellow Noon Fragment, which is found duringmiddayor afternoon hours, between the times11am to 5pm. It is located toward the larger lagoon on the northwestern side of the Glade. You should see it appear in the area shown on the map above.
Forest of Valor Sunstone Fragment Location
The final Fragment within theForest of Valoris thepurple Dusk Fragment. It can be found anytime after5 pm and until morning. It should appear toward the southeastern side of the forest, right near the Dazzle Beach entrance, and off to the right of the Ice Castle.

Once you have all three of the Fragments,return to Mother Gotheland hand them all over to her. This will conclude the Sun Fragments quest and continue further progression quests to restore the Sunstone. This will boost your Friendship with Mother Gothel and help you work toward her last and most important level 10 Friendship quest.
