Since Pokemon Go put walking back on the map for gamers, decent alternatives have been thin until now.Monster Hunter Nowtakes the GPS idea and fills the map full of monsters, but now we’re battling with taps and swipes in a full-on fantasy action game. This of course means plenty of cool gear, so read on to find out more about all the weapons in MH Now.

How to unlock all weapons in Monster Hunter Now

Rather than finding weapons as loot, allweapons in Monster Hunter Now can be crafted. Once discovered through the main questline, several versions of each weapon type will become available for you to craft. Once you’ve made a weapon, it can beleveled up and increased in grade. For example, a Grade 1 level 5 sword could be upgraded to a Grade 2 level 1. Each item and level will have different component requirements.

Monster Hunter Now weapon-type play styles

One of the nice things about MH Now is that each weapon type genuinely feels different to play, so you may pick a type to match your play style. I enjoy the slower weapons as the combat feels less frenetic and more measured but there really is something for everyone.

Within each weapon type, you’ll havedifferent versions that have damage affinities, making them stronger against particular enemies. However, you can build one of each weapon so don’t worry about missing out. Also, as you increase a weapon’s grade, it can open up extraspecial abilities such as DOTs, accuracy, or strong single blows, so you’ll have plenty to choose from. But I’ll save those for another guide.
