After a lot of initial hype, things went a little quiet on the dinosaur survival reboot Ark Survival Ascended. But that has all changed with the official announcement of the release date and an Xbox gameplay trailer.
Ark Survival Ascended brings the original game, Ark Survival Evolved, up to date in terms of graphics thanks to Unreal Engine 5. But it also introducescross-platform playand modding, UI changes, and more.
What is the Ark Survival Ascended release date and platforms?
Ark Survival Ascended will be coming toPC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. According to the@ARKAscendedNewsX feed, the game will be available onOctober 25, 2023 on PCand onXboxSeries X/Son Jul 13, 2025. The exact scheduled date for PlayStation is unknown, but penciled in forlate November on PS5.

Fans of the original Ark Survival Evolved can look forward to a similar but enhanced gameplay experience, withgraphical and UI updatesand all the extra content of the original game that has been added over the years.
For the uninitiated, Ark Survival is asolo or multiplayer dinosaur survival experience. Keep yourself fed and hydrated, and avoid being eaten as you progress up tech trees and craft ever more impressive gear and defenses. You’ll start with spears and a wooden hut but can progress right up to electricity, SCUBA gear, rocket launchers, and saddle up a T-Rex.
