In Battle Royale games like Call of Duty: Warzone, good audio that allows you to pinpoint the enemy’s location is crucial. If you’re looking for the best audio settings for the game, follow this guide and use the options mentioned below.
Best MW3 Warzone audio settings for clear footsteps
Before getting to the best audio settings for Warzone, let me tell you that the game’s overall audio is in an awful state right now. The ambient noise and audio for loot chests are loud while the most important cues such as footsteps are overly inconsistent and low. That said, here are the in-game audio settings you can use for best results.
Global
Audio Mix is the most important audio setting in Warzone and determines how your game is going to sound. Even on headsets, I prefer the Home Theater preset as it has a wider EQ and distances the noises in the game amidst which it’s easier to hear footsteps. You may try Headphones Bass Boost instead and see if it sounds better to you.
Volumes
For the best gameplay experience, you don’t want any music blasting in your ears while playing Warzone. Therefore, I highly suggest you turn off any music volume and wartracks, the latter of which refers to the music playing while driving a vehicle. Dialogue cues are good so don’t disable that entirely and keep it at a low volume. The most important option is the effects volume that governs all the in-game audio from footsteps to ambient noise, so keep it maxed out.

Voice Chat
Voice Chat is crucial in multiplayer to communicate with your teammates unless you’re playing solo. Putting the voice channel to All Lobby allows you to talk to all squad members, even randoms. Otherwise, you can set it to Party Only to chat with the current party members. Enabling or disablingproximity chatis entirely up to you, but if you have it on and talk in-game, others will hear your comms.
Microphone
The next option in Warzone 3 audio settings is subtitles that you can turn off entirely to avoid distracting texts from appearing on your screen. Subtitles only really make sense in the Campaign.
