The car needs to be upgraded if you want to keep on exploring the Olympic Zone. There are so many to choose from on the Fabricator, but you can check out the best car upgrades in Pacific Drive below so you’ll know what to focus on.
The Best Upgrades to unlock for your car in Pacific Drive
While upgrading the car is important for your continued survival, it will take a lot of effort, materials andanchor energyto unlock everything. Read all of the best upgrades to unlock for your car in Pacific Drive both early and end game.
Best Pacific Drive Lights Upgrades
When it comes to lights, there are two options you can go for. I prefer either the Insulated Headlights or the Armored Headlights.Insulated Headlightsare great when you know you will be encountering a lot of electric Anomalies, which is often the case in the first zone.

you may keep them throughout the Midzone, too, but I would upgrade to Armored Headlights in the Deep zone because of the number of explosive Anomalies. I can’t explain the number of times I drove over a hill and straight into a squad of Tourists.
Bets Pacific Drive Car Body Upgrades
The body of the car will be taking the most damage in Pacific Drive, whether it’s from Anomalies or from you hitting something. In my case, it’s mostly me hitting something. I prefer to haveLead-Plated body partson the car, asradiation damageis something you will be experiencing a lot throughout the game—especially in moments when you are rushing to get to the gateway.
Once you’re in the Deep zone, you can either stick to the Lead-Plated upgrades or switch to theArmored ones, considering all the explosive damage that will be coming your way. You can also mix and match and put Armored parts at the front, where you will usually be taking the impact damage from, and use Lead-Plated doors and back panels.
Best Pacific Drive Wheels
There are quite a fewwheel optionsto unlock at the Fabricator in Pacific Drive, but I always went back to the good oldOffroad Tire. Their rating isn’t superb on the road, but it is the best tire when you are driving through the forest. And most of the time, you will be driving off-road so these are the most useful tires to me. You can also go for theAll-terrain tires, which have an all-around great rating for all situations.
Best Pacific Drive Storage setup
In the game, you have four side racks, two backseat racks, and two roof racks. For storage, I prefer using three of the side racks forthree Side storageand then one of the roof racks for theXL Roof storage.Along with theAugmented Trunk storage, you will have a lot of space to work with when you go out on runs to farm materials as well as where to pack your repair tools.
Pacific Drive Fuel Upgrades
Once you start going on longer journeys, you will need to have a lot of fuel unless you want to run out. TheFuel Synthesizeris a good place to start, but I switched it out pretty early for better Side rack upgrades. Instead, use one of the Backseat racks for a tank, the best one being theExpandedor theLeak-resistanttanks.

Best Pacific Drive Battery upgrades
While fuel you can find in the environment, that isn’t the case for battery charges. Instead, I suggest using one of the Side racks along with the Backseat rack for battery upgrades. A good upgrade is theHydro generator, as it will very often rain in the Olympic Zone. However, the best upgrade to have is theAnchor Energy Converter, especially later in the game, as you have a lot of extra Anchors to go around.
Best Pacific Drive Utilities Upgrades
One of the most usefulutilitiesyou can get in the game is theResource Radar. It makes life so much easier for farming materials when you can actually track where the resources are. Another useful upgrade is theMobile Workbench, as it allows you to craft better items while driving. This is especially useful for body parts that have become fragile or upgrades that need to be replaced as soon as possible.
