In Warzone Mobile, customizing HUDs and controls are an essential part of the game. Naturally, you need to know the best setting to get a proper setup. Here’s how to customize and change HUDs and controls in Warzone Mobile.

How to change HUDs and Controls in Warzone Mobile

Like most mobile-shooter battle royales, customizing your controls makes a massive difference. Essentially, it allows you to place the action buttons according to your preference, making it easier to move and control your character.

To change the HUDs, tap on the cogwheel icon on the top right-hand corner of the home screen and selectControls. Over here, you can change the Weapon Trigger betweenManual,Custom, andAuto-Fire. I suggest using the Manual Weapon Trigger, as it lets you shoot at the enemy after properly aiming at them.

Once that’s done, tap on the Control Sets to enter the HUD customization mode. There are several HUD customization presets you can choose from, but it’s best to edit theDefault Manualblueprint.

Warzone Mobile Best HUDs and Controls Setup

Players who do not have previous experience with battle royale shooters may face certain difficulties while setting up the HUD. Fret not, as I have the perfect setup that allows players to use up to four fingers to control the character.

Usually, using two thumbs restricts movement and doesn’t allow players to reach their full potential. Players need to understand a few technical aspects before setting up their HUD. For instance, using more inputs to control your character makes moving, aiming, and shooting far easier. For beginners, I recommend using at least three fingers to control your operators.

I like to use theclaw grip, where yourindex fingers are placed at the top right and left-hand cornersof the screen while yourthumbs control the bottom edges of either side. This technique effectively lets you use the index fingers to aim and shoot while the thumbs are used for movement and activating utility items. With that said, here’s my setup for thefour-finger clawtechnique.

Buttons likeHIP Fire,Inventory,Thermal,Switch Zoom, andWeapon Mountshould be placed close to your left index finger (top left-hand corner). Increase the size of the HIP Fire and Reload buttons and place them close to each other. Reduce the size of UI elements likeNotifications,Squad Info,Kill Feed,Weapon Inspect,Match Status Info, andActive Contractsto make more space on the screen. (Check out the image above to see the setup for the left-hand side of the screen).

Now, on the right-hand side, place theADS Fire,ADS,Tactical Sprint, andGrenade Throwbackclose to yourright index finger. Reduce the size of Mini-Map, Event Points, and Available Contracts.

Usually, I put these non-action buttons on the edges of the screen to avoid cluttering. TheJumpandChangeStance buttons should be placed near your right thumb. For the final change, make sure to place theKillstreaksandField Upgradebuttons close to the Jump and Slide buttons. (Check out the image above to see the setup for the right-hand side of the screen).

With this setup in place, try out a few matches to get used to the controls. Remember, using the four-finger claw technique enables you to move, slide/jump, aim, and shoot simultaneously, but it can take a while to get used to this setup. Memorize the positions of the buttons and try them out in different game modes to master this technique.
