While Goalie is one of the most difficult positions to play, it can be a rewarding experience. Here are the best tricks for playing Goalie inNHL 24.
How to be the best Goalie in NHL 24 - How to block goals every time
Whether you play Goalie in Franchise, Be a Pro, World of Chel, or Clubs, you will need some skill as the last line of defense for your team. Other positions are fun, but I like playing Goalie because the position controls bring fresh gameplay to NHL 24.
Before I dive into my tips, below are all the essential controls you need to know about:
As the Goalie, your one job is to prevent the offense from scoring, but that is easier said than done. When playing Goalie, you will first need to know what areas need to be covered. Nets covered by Goalies typically have five holes that offenses will shoot at. The best way to cover is to know where the offense is shooting from and angle yourself to cut off the most amount of space to shoot into the net.

Use theHug Postactions to cover the angles to block shots coming at you. For high shots, your glove will automatically shift to where the puck is going, so you only have to position yourself correctly.
For low shots, you have a few different moves to potentially block the goal. If you think the shot is going between your legs, use theButterflyaction to prevent the shot from going through the open area. you’re able to also use theSpread Vor Butterfly Slideactions to cover more space but will leave the top half of the goal wide open.
You will also want to keep an eye on your stamina. The new Exhaust System will drain your stamina the more shots on net your opponents get, so make sure to position yourself well to deter opponents from taking more shots on goal.
Overall, to get better at playing Goalie, you should get comfortable with the controls, practice covering angles during games, and improve your Hockey IQ to understand plays and where shots will most likely be coming from.
