If you’re looking to quite literally crush your opponents in Old School RuneScape, you’re likely to be winging mauls, maces, and hammers. If you want to know the best crush weapons in OSRS, I’ve listed them below.
Best OSRS crush weapons ranked
These are the best one and two-handed crush weapons to go for at the time of writing. Be prepared for a lot of grinding, orhaving a lot of gold, as these weapons (or the components required to make them) are generally rare drops.
F2P: Hill Giant Club
The Hill Giant Club has to be mentioned here as, while weak in comparison to everything else on this list, it is thebest crush weapon for F2P players. You’ll need 40 Attack to use it and it offers+65 Crush (Speed 3). To find one you’ll need to grind Hill Giants to get a Giant Key and then defeat Hill Titan Obor in its lair (it’s a rare drop).
10. Granite Maul
This two-handed maul requires50 Attack and Strengthto wield and gives a solid+81 Crush (Speed 4). While seemingly slow it has a special Quick Smash attack that grants an instant hit, so if you time it well it is possible to land three hits in rapid succession. This isgreat in PVPto take opponents down quickly, but beyond this, it’s not a well-loved weapon outside of its usefulness in theNightmare Zone.
9. Dragon Warhammer
Warhammers are generally seen as a weak alternative due to their low speed, but the Dragon Warhammer is worth having in your arsenal for special occasions, namelyenemies with high defense. It requires60 Attackto use and gives a solid+95 Crushbut atSpeed 4. Its advantage comes from its Smash special attack which does extra damage whilereducing the opponent’s defense by 30 percent.
8. Viggora’s Chainmace
A little like the Granite Maul, Viggora’s Chainmace is a situational weapon that’s worth striving for if you intend to battle in theWilderness. You’ll need60 Attackto use it to get+67 Crush (Speed 6)but where it shines is when you charge it (with Revenant Ether) and use it in the Wilderness. This gives you a passive effect of +50 percent accuracy and damage, which makes it unstoppable. Outside of the Wilderness, it is still a solid weapon. Viggora’s Chainmace is arare dropfrom Revenant monsters in theRevenant Caves.

7. Sarachnis Cudgel
The Sarachnis Cudgel requires65 Attackto equip and is a nice upgrade from Viggora’s Chainmace, offering+70 CrushatSpeed 4. It’s a rare drop fromSarachnis, a mini-boss inForthos Dungeon.
6. Ursine Chainmace
This is a direct upgrade fromViggora’s Chainmace(above), requiring85 Smithingto make (you blend it withClaws of Callisto). It ups it to+71 Crushand adds theBear Downspecial attack, which hits with bonus accuracy and a stunning DOT. You also keep its Wilderness bonus potential, but the requirement to use the mace is upped to70 Attack. Claws of Callisto are a rare drop fromCallistoin its den in theWilderness.
5. Zamorakian Hasta
At first glance, the Zamorakian Hasta isn’t amazing with its+65 Crushwith a requirement ofAttack 70but withSpeed 6it is the fastest hasta in the game. It’s alsoa one-hander, allowing you to equip an item up your defense in your offhand. Plus, unlike other hastas, it doesn’t lose its defense bonus. It also has one of the best Stab bonuses in OSRS. The hasta is made by acquiring a Zamorakian Spear and getting Otto Godblessed to convert it to a hasta (for 300k). The spear is most commonly found as a rare drop from K’ril Tsutsaroth in theGod Wars Dungeon.
4. Verac’s Flail
This two-handed flail requires70 Attackand+82 CrushatSpeed 5. It comes into its own when you have thecomplete Defiled set, as you’ll have a 25 percent chance for hits to ignore defense and prayer. This makes it the perfect choice to use against any tanky opponents once you have the bonus. The defiled set is obtainable through theBarrows minigameand to wear the full set you’ll also need 70 Defence.

3. Inquisitor’s Mace
The Inquisitor’s Mace is thebest one-handed crush weapon. It gives+95 Crush(Speed 4), as well as a+2 Prayer Bonus, but requires80 Attackto wield. It’s great for grinding, as you may train all combat stats while using it to crush, and it gains extra bonuses if you wear theInquisitor’s Armor. It is a very rare drop from The Nightmare and Phosani’s Nightmare in Morytania’sSisterhood Sanctuary.
2. Elder Maul
On paper, the Elder Maul is number one for pure damage output. You’ll need75 Attack and Strengthto strap it on and it will give you+135 Crush (Speed 4). The Elder Maul can be found as boss loot in theChambers of Xericraid (2.38 percent chance). While it has the highest damage bonus in the game its slow speed means the Abyssal Bludgeon (below) has a higher DPS. Even so, many players will still use the Elder Maul against high-defense bosses because it has higher accuracy and a bigger punch when a hit lands.
1. Abyssal Bludgeon
Once you’re nearing its skill requirements of70 Attack and Strength, you’ll want to work towards getting the Abyssal Bludgeon. This two-handed crush weapon is created for you by the Overseer by giving them the Bludgeon Axon, Claw, and Spine. To get these components you’ll need to grind for them by defeating the Abyssal Sire at the Font of Consumption. Its one downside is that only aggressive attacks are available when you use it. But at+102 Crush (Speed 6), no one is complaining. That extra speed makes it the best crush weapon around.
