Free love can be achieved with and without mods with some creative tweaking in The Sims 4, but polygamy is a harder sell. Here’s how to get both, whether you want touse modsor stay vanilla.
Is polygamy or polyamory possible in The Sims 4?
Polygamy is distinct from polyamory, as polygamy explicitly means more than two partners in a marriage. Polyamory is more than two partners involved in a relationship. More than two Sims being married in The Sims 4without mods is not possible. There are ways to have more than two sims in a relationship, though (as long as you have the Eco Lifestyle pack). Thankfully, it is possible to find some ways around the polygamy problem with mods.

Can you use mods to have your Sims marry multiple people?
The most useful mod for polygamy or polyamory in The Sims 4 isWonderful Whims. This mod includes not only relationship modifications but also theability to tweak pregnancy, attractiveness, menstrual cycles, and much more. Specifically, it will allow your Sim to marry an already married Sim or do the same with a Sim in a relationship already.
To get the mod, follow the link for Wonderful Whims and select theDownload buttonbelow the beating heart graphic. Take that folder from the download andunzipit. The files from that folder will need to bedragged to the Mods folderon your PC. From there, make sure you havescript mods enabledon The Sims 4.

How to have polyamory in The Sims 4
One of the main ways you may enable polyamorous relationships in The Sims 4 is through community voting with the Eco Lifestyle expansion. With this pack, you canvote for the Free Love initiative. If this gets passed, jealousy and the negative effects of having multiple partners are eliminated. This doesn’t help marriage, but it’s a start!
Another way to achieve this is to have all Sims in the relationship possess theSerial Romantic Aspiration. This will make it so that each Sim will have no jealousy problem, making them okay with the polyamorous setup.
