New character and Multiplayer mode coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley
With every major content update, it’s tradition for Gameloft to introduce new characters. This time, we will seeJack Skellingtonfrom Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas making his debut and joining the valley onDecember 5, 2023. In the movie, Jack is a funny-looking skeleton in a suit who is the embodiment of the Halloween spirit. While we are extremely excited to see Jack Skellington in the valley, it’s likely that he comes with his own set of friendship quests. Players need to watch out for his arrival in-game as he is going to uncover not just Dreamlight secrets but also create a new holiday for the valley.
Aside from the Pumpkin King joining the valley, you will also be able to enjoy the Multiplayer mode. Fans have been waiting for a long time to show off their valley to their friends. The Multiplayer mode launching onDecember 5, 2023, will allow up tothree friendswho visit each other’s valleys. You can also check Scrooge’s stock and Goofy’s stalls in another valley for a change.
Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time Expansion Pass
Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time is a paid expansion pass that will be released onDecember 5, 2023. Players will get to experience the Eternity Isle along with three different biomes:Ancient’s Landing,Glittering Dunes,andWild Tangle. There will be three parts to the Rift in Time expansion pass. The First Act is all about exploring the Eternity Isle and meeting new characters such asRapunzelfrom Tangled,EvefromWALL-E, and finallyGastonfrom Beauty and the Beast.
It is obvious that along with new characters, players will have plenty of friendship quests to tackle for each of them. We might also get new resources and recipes to make while we venture on this new island. Speaking of new resources,A Royal Hourglasswill be added which can help uncover lost treasures and fix time rifts. After the first Act, you will have two more Acts which will be released in 2024.

In Acts Two and Three, you will welcome two more characters in-game but as of now, it will remain a mystery. What’s not a mystery anymore is the arrival of the much-anticipated antagonist,Jafar. Players will remember seeing his shadow and hearing his iconic laughter in the Disney Dreamlight Valley’s post-credit scenes.
Eternity Isle used to be a kingdom filled with magical relics but has been lost in time ever since Jafar meddled with magic. You need to explore the place, stop Jafar’s plans with the help of the Royal Hourglass, and put an end to his nefarious plans.
Although it’s unclear whetherAladdin, Jasmine, or Genie will make their debut right away but its safe to assume one of them will surely appear sometime later. Make sure to remember that all of this content comes with the paid Expansion Pass, A Rift in Time.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Content roadmap 2024
Disney Dreamlight Valley will welcome many new characters, and a new realm, among other things in 2024. This content will be available for all those who own the game. Get ready to welcomeMike WazowskiandSulleyfrom the Monsters, Inc. realm. Another colorful villager will join the valley and by the looks of the roadmap, it can beDaisy Duck.
During late spring, players will get to uncover a realm like no other but for now, it’s under wraps. Finally, we will get to seeTianafrom Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. She will bring her culinary expertise to the valley which means we might get plenty of new recipes through her friendship quests. We might also get a kitchen like Remy’s with Tiana’s arrival in-game but as of now, we will have to wait for more sneak peeks from the developers.
