Since theExpansion Passand Jack Skellington release, the Dreamlight Valley community has eagerly awaited the next update. Thankfully, we have just a little peek into what we can expect with a Name Change option!
It has been a bit quiet since the last major update, probably to allow players to work through the plethora of new content available with the A Rift in Time. Still, now everyone is ready to see some new features. Update 9 may be looming right around the corner, and theDisney Dreamlight Valley Twitterannounced a Name Change feature will be included in that update.

This may be a minor new feature to look forward to, but it says a lot about the developer’s care for accessibility and customization they want the players to have and enjoy. A Name Change option will allow players to reinvent themselves, most likely available right within the character Wardrobe menu. All the Villagers will then call you by that new name.

Even if it isn’t a feature you are looking for, it could indicate how much will be added in this new update, big and small (maybe even a permanentsecond page for the shop). Although we don’t have an exact date to expect Update 9, it could be right around the corner. Stay tuned!
