After more than a decade Final Fantasy XIV lives on thanks to frequent patches that keep me invested in this legendary MMO. Below you’ll find the latest Final Fantasy XIV patch notes to keep up to date with everything new in the game.
FFIXV Patch Notes 6.55
With the conflict in the Thirteenth at an end and Dawntrail on the horizon, the Warrior of Light takes their first steps toward a new adventure.
Patch 6.55 also brings more to explore in the realms of Endwalker, including a new trial, tribal alliance quests, and the continuation of Tataru’s Grand Endeavor, Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures, and the Manderville weapon series!

New chapters have been added to New Game+.
The final quest of each chapter must be completed before it can be unlocked.
Miscellaneous
Players will now receive a pop-up message when an island sanctuary construction or renovation is completed.
The message will display upon entering the island sanctuary and at periodic intervals during a visit.
The drop rate for the Lynx of Abyssal Grief Flute has been increased.
The drop rate for the Lynx of Fallen Shadow Flute has been further increased.
They can also be purchased in exchange for totems from Nesvaaz in Radz-at-Han (X:10.6 Y:10.0).

The following adjustments have been made to PvP actions:

System
In order to prevent server congestion immediately after the release of Patch 6.55, we will be implementing multiple instances for Old Sharlayan.
- We will monitor server activity and remove this feature when congestion is determined to no longer be an issue.* Specific instances can be selected when entering from a neighboring area or teleporting via aetheryte.
Other various issues have also been addressed.
