Genshin Impact’s An Eye for an Eye World Quest, which falls under the Unfinished Comedy quest series, involves helping two prisoners make a daring escape from the Fortress of Meropide. After finding theGeode Mine Shaft, you must complete one more puzzle to finally find the exit.
In this segment, there are three Energy Devices, which need to be positioned beside their respective terminals. Everything needs to be done in an exact order, so I highly recommend you follow the walkthrough below step-by-step.
Acquire the energy storage device and unlock the research terminal ahead (3/3) – Genshin Impact An Eye for an Eye puzzle solution
First Device (1/3)
The starting point of the puzzle is at the entrance of the Geode Mine Shaft, where Caterpillar and Lanoire are standing. There are three Energy Devices (blue “lamps”)—one on the left, one in front, and one on the right. You must firstpick up the Energy Device on the left, which is hidden behind a Geode.
As soon as you pick up the Energy Device, the timer will start, and you need to find the corresponding terminal within the time limit.
Avoid the floating circlesas they will reduce the timer by 30 seconds. Follow this exact path to find the terminal. Each step is associated with an image above, so you can reference them to make sure you’re on the right path.
Stand very closely beside the terminal, then use thespecial interaction button(see the bottom of the screen for the exact control for your device) to place the Energy Device beside the former. The terminal will turn blue, completing the challenge. Don’t forget to interact with the terminal toBreak Seal.

Second Device (2/3)
The second challenge is much easier than the first. Start bypicking up the northern Energy Device, circled in the image above.
Follow the steps below to complete the challenge. Each step corresponds to an image above, so you can reference whether you’re on the right track:
Like before,stand very close to the terminal, then use thespecial interaction buttonto place the Energy Device within range. Once the challenge is completed, interact with the terminal toBreak Seal.

Third Device (3/3)
To begin the final challenge, pick up the lastEnergy Lamp on the right. Like before, make sure to avoid the floating circles as they will hit you with a 30-second reduction.
Follow the steps below to complete the challenge. Each step corresponds to an image above, so use them as references if you get lost:
Following the same pattern as the previous challenges, place the Energy Devicebeside the terminal using the special interaction button. Once the challenge is completed, wait for Lanoire’s dialogue at the bottom of the screen, then interact with the terminal toBreak Seal. Doing so will officially complete the quest objective, and you can continue completing the rest of An Eye for an Eye.
