Metal Slimes are an iconic variant of Slimes in The Dark Prince, and they are adorable creatures despite their gray color. If you’re looking for one to join your party, keep reading as I walk you through how you can catch Metal Slimes in Dragon Quest Monsters The Dark Prince.

How to scout Metal Slimes in The Dark Prince

Metal Slimes are “slimy” even in the field; they quickly try to run away from you before you can even battle them. Once you engage them in battle, all they do is attack for a few turns, then quickly flee before you can even scout them to join your party. They also have atraitthat cuts DMG by 1/3 and an insane high defense, so physical attacks rarely work.

Here are a few tips if you want to have a Metal Slime in your party:

By the way, if you find enoughMini Medalsas you play through the game, you’ll get the entire Metal Slime Line for free! You’ll need 10 Mini Medals to get a standard Metal Slime, 30 for a Liquid Metal Slime, and 50 for a Metal Slime King.

Are Metal Slimes good in The Dark Prince?

You’ll benefit more from Metal Slimes if youfarm them for XPpurposes instead of capturing them to join your party. Since you’ll be able to get all three kinds of Metal Slimes from Mini Medals, anything you encounter in the wilderness should be eliminated so you can quickly level up your party to take on tougher challenges like hidden bosses.

If you really want a Metal Slime in your party, they have really low HP, and their defense buff doesn’t necessarily help you when you’re dealing with S-tier monsters. Metal Slimes are lackluster in general in The Dark Prince, and I recommend youbeat them up as soon as you see one in the wildand don’t bother scouting them.
