By changing your Activision account location to New Zealand, you can, effectively speed the release of a new title by quite a few hours. It’s a simple process, so here’s how you can do it yourself.
How to change account location to New Zealand
Before I get into the method, note thatthis trick only works for Xbox usersonly. PlayStation user accounts are tied to a specific region when created; therefore youcannotchange it there.
With that out of the way, if you’re trying to play acertain specific game early, the first thing you’re going to want to do is head to theSettingsmenu of your system. From here, scroll over to theSystemstab and navigate to theLanguage and Locationmenu.

Once here, you should see a few options that you can change, with one of them beingLocation. Select this and cycle over toNew Zealand. This may automatically restart your system, but if it doesn’t, go ahead and fully restart it yourself to ensure everything is working as intended. After a full system restart, head to yourGame Libraryand attempt to play or install the unreleased title.
If it is the correct release time in New Zealand, you should be able to install your game without an issue, while still maintaining to use of your high-speed connection.
