Throughout my time in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, I’ve thrown hundreds of Poké Balls, either by sending out my own Pokémon or by catching new ones. I was excited to customize my throwing style in The Indigo Disk DLC; read on below to learn how you’re able to do the same.
How to customize your throwing style in The Indigo Disk Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
To change your throwing style in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you’ll need tocontribute BP to the Baseball Club at Blueberry Academy. BP is earned bycompleting Blueberry Questsin the Terarium, so be sure to save some up before you attempt to unlock new Poké Ball throwing styles.
Once you’ve earned some BP, head to the League Club Room at Blueberry Academy and interact with the club’s computer. SelectContribute BP, and a menu will appear with all the school clubs you can give BP to. To change your Poké Ball throwing style, select the green card that saysWant to change your throwing style?and chooseYeswhen prompted. Doing so will cost you 10 BP each time you choose a new style.
By default, you’ll have the following styles unlocked:Original style, Left-handed style, Reverent style, Dainty style, Smug style, and Elegant style. If you change your mind, you can back out by choosingNever mindfrom the menu.

Contributing to the Baseball Club also allows you to unlock new throwing styles. To do this, interact with the League Club computer again, choose the card that saysPitch some unique throwing styles!, then selectYeswhen prompted. On the right side of your screen, you’ll see which styles will be unlocked under theRewardssection.
The first time you unlock new throwing styles, it will cost you 150 BP. However, this price will increase as you continue unlocking new styles. Choose the throwing style that best suits your personality during battles; pricier styles don’t necessarily look better than cheaper ones.
