The car will be taking the brunt of the damage, so it should be your priority to upgrade its body parts. You can do thison the Fabricatorin Oppy’s garage. Head over and open theCar Body tab. There you will find three car upgrades that will boost your acid damage protection.
In order to update your outfit and boost your acid damage protection when you are outside of the car, first you will need to unlock theOutfitting station. You can find it on the Fabricator under theGarage upgradestab. Before you can get to it, however, you need to unlock the Matter Deconstructor. Once you do, you can get to work on updating your outfits.
