How to get money quickly in Like a Dragon Gaiden

You can earn Yen in a few different ways while you play, and there is no right way or wrong way to do it. However, I found there to be two methods in particular that seem to be the fastest, most efficient way to increase your savings.

Fight enemies

Whenever you’re in open city locations where the shops are, look forenemies with red markersover their heads. These enemies will attack you on sight, and they usually travel together in groups. Despite there being a decent amount of them at once, they aren’t too difficult to defeat, and they will drop Yen as you do. These enemies will keep respawning around the area, which is what makes it such a great farming method.

Sell valuables

Another quick and easy way to earn Yen is to sell valuable items. You can detect what item is valuable by its icon, usually shown as acubeordiamond. However, you can also sell unwanted Gear you are no longer using. You’ll need to head specifically to aPawn shopto sell items.

These sellable items, like the plates, can be found in theloot briefcases, which are also respawnable like the enemies, around the open areas. Alternatively, they can be won by exchanging points at minigames.

Play minigames

If you want to have fun while earning items to sell, you can always head to any of the minigame spots around the map. All of these minigames, from Gambling Halls to Shogi, will allow you toexchange points for items. You can nab a bunch of valuable plates or even Gear items and healing if you don’t have Yen for them.

These are just a few of the fastest ways I found to earn Yen, but you can try out other ways to see what works best for you. If you enjoy minigames, you can spend your time earning points and collecting a ton of plates to sell for Yen, or maybe if you want to focus on the story, you’ll slowly accumulate Yen just by completing the necessary quests. But start saving to get the items and upgrades you want!
