How to join chaos in Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader
If you want to join Chaos in Rogue Trader, you must firstaccept Theodora’s helpduring the prologue. Choosing to accept Theodora’s assistance is the first heretical option you can choose and setsjoining chaos in motion.
However, you won’t fall to or join chaos after accepting the help, as you must wait for a dream event. In the dream event, you must face the Lord of Change and choose to become their aspirant. After accepting your fate, you must select one more dialogue option. Selecting the option to pick up a shard makes your character officially fall to and join chaos.
You receive this dialogue option right after becoming an aspirant of the Lord of Change. If you wish to continue your descent and rise as an agent of chaos, you must continue to choose Hertical options. Heretical options are any dialogue choice or decision marked with a[Heretical]choice marker. The best way to find more Hertical options is to visit the planetRykard Minoris.
How to increase Heretical Alignment in Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader
You must make Heretical decisions if you want to increase your Heretical alignment in Rogue Trader. Heretical decisions are any dialogue choice/option that has a[Heretical]choice marker. Each option involves doing something Hertical, such as consorting with Demons or plotting against the Imperium.
As you make Hertical options, a small amount of points increases your Hertical alignment rank. The maximum level for all alignments is five, and each gives a special bonus. The following are all Heretical ranks and their unique bonuses in Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader:
