In LEGO Fortnite, crafting new items requires a variety of resources so you’ll have to make enough storage at your village. I’ve crafted several storage chests at my village after progressing in the quests, and here’s how you can do it in-game.

How to Craft a Storage Chest in LEGO Fortnite

To build a Storage Chest, you must have theFurniture tabunlocked in theBuild modein LEGO Fortnite. This recipe for Storage Chests unlocks after you build the essentials like the first shelter, and progress through the quests given by the Cuddle Team Leader. You’ll needsix Planksfor crafting aSmall Storage Chest- however, this is a processed resource obtained fromWood, so you must build aLumber Millfirst.

For building a Lumber Mill you’ll neednine pieces of Woodand15 pieces of Granite. you’re able to collect it easily by exploring the area near your camp. After gathering all the resources, open the Build mode and select Lumber Mill from under the Stations tab. Once ready, you canadd Wood to the Lumber Mill to process as Planks. Craft six Planks by processing six pieces of Wood and that’s all required to build your first Storage Chest.

Open Build mode, scroll to the Furniture tab and selectStorage. From here you can craft different types of Storage Chests of various capacities. So far I’ve unlocked the Small Chest, and I’m sure completing further quests will unlock more recipes in the Survival mode. On the contrary, in the Sandbox mode, you can get any of the materials and resources easily to customize the experience as preferred.

How to Find Storage Chests in LEGO Fortnite

Apart from crafting Storage Chests, I found a few by simply exploring the map. For instance, the best locations to find these types of chests are caves. There are a few caves I found in my world, but be careful as there are tons of skeleton and scorpion enemies inside. Ideally, you want to carry a Sword, Shield, and Torch to deal with these enemies. Similarly, look for areas close to buildings and structures like watchtowers, broken huts, and more. You’ll often find a Storage Chest at these locations.
