How to find the Ballistic Shield in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1
The Ballistic Shield is one of the new weapons added this season which can be found across different locations on the map. During my playthrough, I found the Ballistic Shield at thePleasant PiazzaandLavish LairPOI. Both of these POIs have been added as part of the new locations in Chapter 5 Season 1. The Pleasant Piazza is located in the southwestern area whereas the Lavish Lair is in the northwest part of the map. The Ballistic Blade can also be found as part offloor loot,chests,vaults, andepic chests.

To equip the Ballistic Shield, press theinteract or pick up keybindand add it to your inventory. I recommend visiting new POIs like Ritzy Riviera, Pleasant Piazza, Snotty Steppes, Ruined Reels, and Lavish Lair to find this item quickly.
The Ballistic Shield comes with a pistol so you may defend yourself from enemies while shooting them at the same time. I recommend using it in close-range combat to attack your enemies with the shield as it pushes them back with a knocking effect. In case, the enemy is shooting at you, use the Shield to defend before firing at them with the pistol. However, it is important to remember that the Ballistic Shield has350 HPand can only take damage for a limited time. Therefore, make sure to swap the shield with other weapons quickly unless you want to remain exposed to the enemies.
