Asking things of Bungie is like using a monkey’s paw. You might eventually get what you wanted, but it won’t be quite the way you wanted it. Such is the case with Destiny 2’sFestival of the LostMemento, Twilight Keepsake.
Ever since Destiny 2 launched, players have been clamoring for an all-black Shader. Technically, we got it, but as a Memento. This means that it can’t be used infinitely and can only be applied to crafted weapons. Despite this, it still looks really cool. Here’s how to nab it.
How to get the Twilight Keepsake Shader in Destiny 2
The Twilight Keepsake Memento is initially acquired after completing the Twilight Triumph under the General Season of the Witch Triumphs. This requires Guardians to complete three secret objectives.

As you can see, getting the Twilight Keepsake Memento is no small feat. The first two steps aren’t awful, but the last is going to take a good chunk of time. Legend Haunted Sectors are a pain enough as is, but performing 25 Finishers requires Guardians to get up close and personal with some truly dangerous foes. Additionally, getting the Tormentor Mask requires a minimum of seven Haunted Sector runs if your team is killing Headless Ones quickly enough.
Once Guardians have completed the Triumph, they will get the Memento, which can only be applied to crafted weapons by visiting the Mars Enclave and either shaping or reshaping a weapon. From there, additional Mementos can be acquired through Eerie Engrams. To throw another wrench into things, the Mementos don’t stack, meaning Guardians can only carry one at a time.
Regardless, those who want to add it to their collection will need to work quickly, as the Memento is only available during Festival of the Lost. It will no longer be obtainable after July 15, 2025. I swear, it’s always one step forward and two back with Bungie.
