Control in Apex Legends is all about controlling the field and getting back in action fast when you die. That said, you may’t spawn if you don’t have access to themap. Sometimes, instead of showing the spawn map, it will just show a static shot of the ground.
All of this can be frustrating, especially if time is of the essence. That said, there is a very easy way to fix it.
Did Apex remove the spawn map?
Update: The error was patched on July 20, 2025, according to the Apex Legends' officialTrello board. However, reports show that it can still occur at times.
No, Avex did not remove the spawn map. Before this was patched, you needed torefresh the pageto get the map back. This means if you go into either the Change Legend menu or the Change Loadout menu, even if you don’t change anything when you exit back out, the map should be back. That is all there is to it.

This fix will work every time you have the issue—even if you miraculously get it today. Still, if you have any trouble with getting the refresh to register, try actually changing your Legend, and that should force an even stronger refresh.
