LEGO Fortnite has finally arrived with many new mechanics to learn and a new world to explore. In this mode you can invite friends as Key Holders to access and edit the world, and here’s how you can do it in-game.
How to invite friends to be a Key Holder in LEGO Fortnite
After creating a world in LEGO Fortnite, you can invite friends to the lobby and join the game together. World creators will have aroundseven keysto share with friendsand party members. This way, the key holders can play even if the world creator is offline. Sharing keys with friends is a brilliant mechanic dividing the effort to build the world. Key Holders and other party members can effectivelypet animals, build shelters, and collect other types of resources required for survival.
Select thePlayers tabby opening the map menu toinvite a player as a key holder.Here you’ll find theShare Key optionon thebottom right corner. All the players currently in the world will be visible in this tab, choose the player you want as a key holder and give it to them. You can also invite players to join your world from this tab.

How to remove a Key Holder in LEGO Fortnite
Similarly, to remove a current key holder, simplyselect that player’s namefrom the Players tab menu, andpress the Remove Key optionon the bottom right-hand corner. Remember, your world can have up to seven key holders in LEGO Fortnite. Each key holder can access the world on their own, build structures, collect resources, and complete other activities. However, party members entering a world without a key will be removed once the world owner leaves the party or exits from the world.
