Vaults are my go-to places to stock up on high-tier loot in Fortnite, and thankfully, there areplenty of new vaultsspringing up in Season 4 of Chapter 4. While there’s still a vault in MEGA City, things have changed a bit from past seasons. This includes a new location and process for getting the vault key, but don’t worry; we have all the details for you on how you can break into this vault below!
Where is the Mega City vault in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4?
After jumping from the bus above MEGA City, fly toward thecenter of the cityand locate the building with thered character hologramson the outside. The vault is located in this building, pictured above.
After acquiring the keycard, you need to get to the vault, which is heavily guarded by NPCs. You can find it either by smashing through thecracked wall in the elevator shaftwith a Rocket Ram or by heading through thedoor to the left of the elevators, at the bottom of the stairs. Beware of the cameras and turret mounted on the wall at the vault entrance.
Inside the vault, you’ll find a few Epic chests, along with Slurp Barrels, Gold Bars, and other high-tier weapons. Unlike past seasons, this vault no longer holds Mythic weapons but is still worthwhile for other loot. However, you’ll need the keycard to enter the vault; in order to get it, you must defeat The Dealer NPC boss and obtain theMEGA City key card.

How to get the vault MEGA City key card in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4
The Dealer NPCwill patrol the vault building, accompanied by a squadron of guards. You’ll need to take down The Dealer to get the key card for the vault. I suggest finding a safe spot where you may take out the guards first and then focus on the boss. As usual, he has a line of Shield you must break first before damaging his health.
The key card will drop onto the ground after you defeat him, and you can pick it up to place it into one of your inventory slots. Head back to the entrance of the vault, use the keypad to unlock the vault, and start looting.
Keep an eye out for other players while you’re doing this. They can easily pop up behind you when you’re least expecting it, or come around to kill you while you’re focusing on the boss. Take them out to make sure you claim the loot all for yourself!
