Field Upgrades are an integral part of your loadout in Modern Warfare 3. Although most players stick with the Munitions Box as their go-to gear, Tactical Insertion is another great equipment that is worth using in MW3 Multiplayer, but how?

Before learning more about this Field Upgrade, you’ll want to know how to make it available for use. Tactical Insertionunlocks at level 45, which you can reach by playing the game and earning XP.

How does Tactical Insertion work in MW3?

Tactical Insertion is an equipment thatmarks a location where you’ll spawn nextafter your death. This gear only works inrespawn-enabled game modessuch as Hardpoint, Domination, and Team Deathmatch, and is great for redeploying at positions the enemy is least expecting you to be at.

Once the item is available, use the Field Upgrade input to drop the flare stick at your position and that’ll mark your next spawn point. When you’re playing modes like Hardpoint, you may place it in a secure spot close to the objective (ideally in a corner so you can redeploy close to it).

After you die, you’ll be given five seconds to decide whether you want to respawn at the Tactical Insertion or not. Canceling will take you to your regular squad spawn instead of the flare stick.

For me, the Tactical Insertion best works in large-scale modes likeGround Warin which the objectives may get taken by the enemy, forcing you to fall back. You can have this equipment placed behind enemy lines and spawn there effortlessly. Remember, the enemy may spot and destroy your Tactical Insertion; worst case scenario, they may wait for you to deploy and then do afinisher.
