The new Vortex: War’s Domain event is currently live in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone. The limited-time event offers a variety of unlockable cosmetics, including the Magma camo, which may appear bugged.
How to fix Magma camo not unlocking in MW3
During the event, you need to play the different modes in MW3 and Warzone that will earn you the XP required to unlock the free items. The Magma camo is the final reward unlocked when you acquire1,233,700 XP, instead of the 458,500 XP target mentioned incorrectly in the game. Until the targets are updated to their actual value, just keep playing and earning XP, as the progress does count.

I was confused at first when the camo didn’t unlock, but I soon came across a tweet from Sledgehammer Games, the developers of MW3, who mentioned this is a bug. Below are the correct XP targets the rewards for the Vortex event are supposed to unlock at in MW3:
