After launching intoMWZ, you’ll encounter areas called Threat Zones, a new type of content that impacts the difficulty of your experience. Here’s everything you need to know about them.
What are Threat Zones in MW3 Zombies?
Threat Zones are areas within the MWZ open world that represent the difficulty of each area, dependent on the level of danger in said area. The level of danger in each area is represented with a Threat Zone marker so that you know what you’re getting yourself into. They are also shown on your world map as color-coded circles.
There are three different types of Threat Zones you’re able to participate in, each with its own set of hazards and rewards.

As you can see, MWZ has something for everyone, whether or not you want to just relax and kill some zombies, or want to dive into the thick of things with a coordinated squad.
