Upon launching Ready or Not for the first time, you’ll be asked whether to play the game on DirectX 11 or DirectX 12. If you’re confused about which setting to use, don’t worry as I’ve compared both in this guide.

Should you play Ready or Not on DirectX 11 or DirectX 12?

After testing Ready or Not on both DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 on the epic graphics preset, I found that the latter improved my in-game FPS significantly. However, I must add that the frame rate wasn’t stable with DirectX 12 and some players have even reportedstutteringwhile using it, which I didn’t encounter fortunately.

Above I’ve showcased the comparison images taken at the same location in the training mode of Ready or Not. Using DirectX 11, my frames stayed consistently around 180 FPS while with DirectX 12 it varied anywhere between 180 to 240 FPS. Therefore, playing Ready or Not onDirectX 11 is recommendedfor most players as it has stable frames and doesn’t have performance issues. That said, it’sbest if you test out the results for bothon your device and use what works best for you.
