Rise of the Ronin contains many secrets waiting to be discovered, and that includes secret bosses that gave me valuable rewards after defeating them. Here are all of the hidden boss locations in Rise of the Ronin!
Where to find all hidden bosses in Rise of the Ronin
There are nine hidden bosses hidden across the world of Rise of the Ronin, equally distributed across three cities. After defeating each boss, you’ll be able to open the chest hidden in their arena and collect an item giving you four skill points.
Not all bosses will be available straight from the get-go, as you’ll need to unlock both Edo and Kyoto along with Yokohama. Defeating all bosses will give you the rare Seven Military Classics gear.
Yokohama
Maita
Travel to the leftmost Veiled Edge Banner located next to a house at the end of the wooden bridge. Drop down using a glider and turn towards the house. Explore the area around the giant stone elevation until you see a cave underneath a tree with a rope ribbon. Drop down into the cave to find the boss.
Shibo
Travel to the Shibo region and explore the forest area northwest of the lake. Look for the orange autumn tree with a rope ribbon tied around it. Go above the tree to find a large tree with a larger oversized rope ribbon and jump into the cave in front of it.

Hiranuma-Shinden
Go to the coast in the north-to-northeast part of the Hiranuma-Shinden region. Drop down to the beach and look around until you spot a cave. Enter the cave and keep going until you reach a large chamber. The third boss of Yokohama will be waiting for you.
Edo
Shiba
Go to the top right of Shiba’s lower island. Go down to the beach and turn towards the Shiba town center. You’ll spot a cave leading to Shiba’s first boss.
Senzoku
In the Senzoku region, go to the easternmost Veiled Edge Banner and then use the glider to go south. Once you end up in the dock, you should spot a cave leading to the boss.
Kanda
The Kanda boss is located across the river to the north. Cross the river and reach the shore to spot a cave leading to the final boss in this region.
Kyoto
Higashiyama
Three more to go! The first boss in Kyoto is hiding northwest of the Kiyomizudera Temple. Climb up the tower and turn towards the temple to spot a tall tree. The boss is waiting for you in the cave next to it.
Shirakawa
Spawn into the Veiled Edge Banner below the Shimogano Shrine and jump into the river. Swim north, then turn right and go to the shore across from the shrine. As per usual, the boss is hiding inside the large cave.
Karasuma
After reaching the Karasuma region in Kyoto, head for the Horikawa border. Go into the trench and head west until you find the ninth boss.
