Fans of Warhammer 40,000 lore are in for a treat in Rogue Trader but it’s not all just story. Sometimes, as on Eurac V, I’ve found the notes and books I’ve discovered are key to solving a puzzle. If you haven’t solved this one yet, read on for the details.
Eurac V is the navigator planet you may visit after completing theRogue Traderprologue. You’ll have to decide which inhabitants to side with, but whichever way you choose you should eventually find a research laboratory. But how do you use it?
How to solve the Navigator puzzle - Rogue Trader
As you hunt around the various locations on Eurac V you’ll find several unusual objects. You’ll also find several research notes that you’re able to read to give you clues as to thecorrect combination of ingredientsrequired to successfully use the lab. You’ll need:
When you discover the research laboratory, you’ll see five accessible containers. Full instructions on how to use them are below. Once done, you’ll be rewarded withsix Adaptive Antidots. Be warned if you get the combination wrong, the tube you get the reward from will explode.You only get one chance(unless you have a save game).

You’ll find all five ingredients around the compound.
Mutated Flesh Sample
Once you’ve defeated the main group of defenders in the large central room, you’ll find the Mutated Flesh Sample on a corpse by the statue in the northwest corner of the room.
H-41-OK
After the cutscene where the guard kills his colleagues, you’ll find the H-41-OK on the desk (the loot looks like a book).
Biogel
Once you’ve opened the main door north from the large central room, the Biogel is in a yellow loot crate on a table in the first room you come to.
Psy-Crystal
In the same room as the Biogel, in a large red crate.
How to use the research laboratory - Rogue Trader
Any character can use the tubes and transducer, asthey don’t require skill checksto use. You’ll need touse the Transducerto makeCrystal Dustfrom the Psy-Crystal by dragging the crystal onto it. Afterward, loot the Transducer to get the Crystal Dust.
Next, add the correct four ingredients to the four green tubes to solve the puzzle. Simply click a green tube anddrag the item onto it. If the ingredient matches the tube, the window you’re dragging it to will have a green background. Afterward, a new button will appear. Click it,the screen will briefly darken, and you’ll have a new location on-screen to loot.
