In Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, you can use different Ammo Mods to add special characteristics to your weapons. The Shocked Tier 2 mission from Act 2 asks you to use the Dead Wire Ammo Mod to stun Zombies.
Completing the challenge rewards you with the Madness weapon sticker. Below I’ve explained the best approach for this mission, including the best way to find and stun Special Zombies.
How to get Dead Wire Ammo Mod in MW3 Zombies
The first step in the Shocked mission is to acquire the Dead Wire Ammo Mod, which is marked with alightning bolt icon(first image). You can find it insideAether Cachesacross the map, but the place for these loot container spawns areInfested StrongholdsandAether Nests(second image).
How to stun Zombies with Dead Wire Ammo Mod in MWZ
After using the Dead Wire Ammo Mod on your weapon, simply shoot the enemies to dealelectric damage. Every once in a while, the electric effect will stun a Zombie (see image) rendering it immobile. This part of the Shocked mission is easy as you’ll be able to stun 25 Zombies in no time.

Where to find Special Zombies in MWZ
For the next objective, you need to stunSpecial Zombies, but first, let’s figure out what they are and where to find them. Special and Elite Zombies include theMimic,Mangler, andDisciple. While the former are marked with a regular skull (second image), the latter are indicated with a horned skull (first image).
You can find these easily while doingcontractssuch as Escort and Eliminate The Bounty. However, the Bounty contract puts a target on Elite Zombies, which don’t count toward this challenge. Also, I’ve noticed the Manglers appearing during the Escort contract often die unaffected by the Dead Wire Ammo Mod. That said, here’s a strategy that I followed to complete the objective.
How to stun Special Zombies with Dead Wire Ammo Mod in MWZ
The method that worked for me was visiting theMedium Threat Zone, mainly the southern region of the orange section of the map (see image). In Zaravan City and the surrounding area, you’ll often encounter Mangler and Disciple Special Zombies. These have good HP and can’t be taken down that easily, allowing the Dead Wire Ammo Mod enough chance to produce a stun.
Grab a vehicle and drive around this area looking for any Special Zombies. I recommend you Pack-a-Punch your weapon tolevel 1to make it more effective. For me, the Disciples were the easiest to find and stun with the Dead Wire Ammo Mod, but I also managed to stun a couple of Manglers (see image). Once you’ve stunned a Special Zombie, it’s not necessary to kill it for the mission, so you can just leave and start looking for the other ones.
