You can find theSunken Goldmine outpostin thewestern areaof the map, specifically in the region ofCoast Africa. The outpost is very distant from the Saint-Anne starting point, and many high-level enemies will come after you if you come too close to their ships.
While traveling to this outpost, I had to be very aware of my surroundings because otherhigh-level playersmay bully me away from the area. I recommend using only thesecond max speedof your ship when sailing toward the Sunken Goldmine and onlyreserving your staminaif you want to get away from your enemies.
If you really want to push through the enemy lines, you can always craft theDefender shipso you can take a lot of damage in combat. However, your traversal speed will severely diminish. This ship is a good compromise if you’re looking for a decent way toplunder materialsalong the way.

Getting to the Sunken Goldmine outpost may be difficult, but it’s definitely worth the extra effort, especially since you canfast-travelback to the outpost once you’re at a high level to buy and use the blueprints sold by the merchant.
