Everyone loves a good crossover. From seeing your favorite heroes team up in a special issue to finding out thatCaroline in the CityconnectsCheerstoFriends, it’s a nice little treat that excites any community.
Bungie, a company with a lot of goodwill to earn, has announced just such a crossover.Destiny 2is getting a little medieval with Witcher-inspired gear.
Channel the White Wolf with the Destiny 2 x Witcher crossover
In a post to Xon May 07, 2025,the Destiny 2 accountannounced new Witcher-inspired cosmetics would be coming to the game alongside Season of the Wish on November 28. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen crossovers like this, as Destiny 2 has collaborated withAssassin’s Creed,Fortnite, PlayStation exclusives, and more.
The armor sets themselves are inspired by Geralt of Rivia, meaning that no one has to feel left out because they play a certain class. That being said, it does feel like a missed opportunity to not have a Yennefer-inspired Warlock set. Alongside the armor, Bungie stated in a press release that there will also be a themed Ghost shell, ship, Sparrow, emote, and finisher.

Historically, these collaborations cannot be purchased with Bright Dust, the earnable in-game currency. Rather, they’re only available through Silver, the currency purchased with real-world money. On top of that, they aren’t cheap. These sets typically cost 2000 Silver, which is around $20. So, to kit out each of the three classes would be $60.
Checking the replies to the original post, the community is divided on this announcement. On one hand, these are some undeniably cool outfits. On the other hand,Bungie recently laid off a reported 8% of its staff due to missing revenue projections by 45%. Despite being absolutely lousy with microtransactions and receiving a hefty $3.6 billion from the Sony buyout, Bungie is continuing the years-long trend of locking the most visually appealing armor behind the Eververse.

I’ll admit that I’m conflicted, so I can’t really fault anyone for purchasing any of the Witcher content. Bungie needs to earn goodwill, and this isn’t the way to do it. Either way, I’ll have to do another run through Witcher 3 now.
