After what seemed to be forever, we finally received gameplay footage of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2. What stuck out to me was the amount of power Phyre, the protagonist, possessed while infiltrating a not-so-abandoned warehouse.

Check out the gameplay trailer for Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 onXbox’s official YouTubefor an in-depth look at what you may expect. I always enjoy games with stealth elements, and Phyre’s powers make me excited to sneak around. Despite Phyre’s Brujah status, she has numerous options for stealth and plenty of room to unleash fearsome attacks and powers.

Phyre is able to dash across an open space quickly, slow down time to plan out rapid strikes, and even freeze enemies and shatter them. I can only imagine the crazy combos I’ll pull off combining these. While the trailer primarily showcased Ghouls fighting, battling other vampires with access to their own powers will likely have my heart pumping and adrenaline running.

The story intrigues me, shifting from a custom character to a defined protagonist like the firstVampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines. Phyre is a Brujah with a reputation and a nickname of The Nomad. This reputation proceeds her when she confronts the Nosferatu William. But what most captured my attention is the mysterious Mark on Phyre’s hand and how it drains her power. I’ve been waiting for Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 for a long time, and this trailer has me even more excited.
