Item-gathering quests are probably my least favorite part of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Stuck in a Rut Quest was one of them. If you’re having trouble understanding the Wainwright’s map, this guide is for you.

Even though the Junon area is big, the area you have to scour isn’t. Because while the map makes it look like you need to race to the other side, the truth is that you don’t need to stray far from the far. Here’s a side-by-side comparison of the Wainwright’s map and the World Map.
I didn’t put an “X” on my map since the game does shuffle the locations of the buried treasures. The important thing is that these are the general areas. Your Chocobo will do the rest of the leg work.

Sniffing for the materials
If you aren’t used to Chocobo hold and coldmechanicsyet, then it’s super simple. Once you see the red question mark“?”above its head,hold the up buttonandtilt your camera with the R analog stock towards the arrow’s direction. This will trigger a blue line that will lead you to your destination.
Once you’ve found the sparkle on the guide, press down on your controller to dig it up. Easy!
