InPalworld, when you manage to gain enough experience to level up, you’re allowed to increase one of your stats. However, not all stats are equally valuable, thus, there is nuance to which stats you should be upgrading first.
Best stats to upgrade first in Palworld
Palworld can be a very difficult game if you don’t upgrade the right stats enough. When you level up, there arefivestatsyou can choose to improve using the point you’re given.

The sixth stat, Defense, cannot be improved when leveling up. Of these five stats, however,HP and Weight are by far the most important. HP boosts your health, meaning every point spent provides a large boost to your survivability. The HP stat, when invested in, will allow you to rival, or even exceed, the health of your Pals. I highly recommendinvesting in this stat first.
Palworld is a survival game at its core, and since every single item in the game has a weight parameter, it is important to be able to carry what you need, when you need it. As such, putting points in the Weight stat lets you carry heavier things, which is incredibly important for gathering, something you’ll be doing throughout your entire playtime in Palworld.I highly recommendinvestingin this stat second.

The other three stats,Stamina, Attack, andWork Speed, do not provide a significant enough boost to your character to make them worth investing in. If you must put points into one of these three stats, then they should all go towardStamina. More Stamina means you’re able to perform more actions more often. This is undeniably useful, but once you get used to the default Stamina amount, you’ll realize that it is more than enough to avoideverything in the game. Stamina is the third most important stat, though it is not nearly as valuable as the first two mentioned ones.
Work SpeedandAttackare completely dead stats due to their terrible scaling and limited use cases. Work Speed boosts how fast you can build things, but this isn’t important in a game where most of your building is coming from your Pals anyway.
Attack doesn’t offer enough of a damage boost to be worth investingany points into.Compared to all the others, Attack is by far the most useless due to the gains being far too small.
