You face tough decisions right off the bat in the squad-based fantasy RPG Zoria: Age of Shattering. So as you embark on your first mission, should you choose to take Devana or Rosha with you?
Should you choose Devana or Rosha in Zoria Age of Shattering?
At the very beginning ofZoria: Age of Shatteringyou’ll find yourself in some castle ruins with a lot of injured and desperate survivors. You’ll be directed to speak to Devana, who will inform you the group needs to split into two teams.
One of two powerful adventurers, Devana and Rosha, will go with each group. You need to decide which one will accompany you. This will depend onthe class you chose for your main companion, as well as on yourstyle of play.
Both characters are level 7 while you’re just level 1, so they’ll be doing the bulk of the heavy lifting through your early battles. Also note that whichever one you choose, you’ll be able toreset their skills to suit your needs. This can be done at any time, so you’re able to make alterations as you go, which is very helpful.

The benefits of choosing Rosha in Zoria Age of Shattering
Lancer Rosha has slightlymore health than Devana, but less Energy. However, her skills don’t use a huge amount of Energy so I’ve not found this an issue. She also has astrong Armour(50+) and a shield, which is very useful in the early battles. All in all, Rosha isa strong tank, in terms of her gear and stats.
This is backed up by her skills. Defiance gives her a50 percent chance to block attacks(until three are blocked), Rally puts adamage-absorbing shield AOEon herself and the part, while several more of her skills can be swapped in to cover magic damage, personal shields, and more. Better still she backs this up with Roaring Command, whichtaunts nearby unitsinto attacking her for the next three rounds.
On offense, she can use Arching Strike tohit all nearby enemies, which is perfect for deploying after Roaring Command has drawn your enemies to her. Other offensive options include Impale (that reduces an enemy’s armor) and Staggering Strike, whichstunsthem for three rounds. When camping, she will alsoremove all Sunder effectsfrom your party whilerepairing 15 percent of all weapons and armor.
The benefits of choosing Devana in Zoria Age of Shattering
Devana is a Battle cleric who has asolid amount of health and manafor casting. Her armor is lower than Rosha’s but at 35+ is still strong for the early game. She also has a slightlyhigher hit chance and damage outputthanks to wielding a two-hander, so once you find a one-hander and shield you can always lower her damage and up her defenses if required.
When she joins you her selected abilities arefocused on healing and protection. Devotion is a self-buff thatraises armor and gives a shield, while she has a Seal of Protection (anAOE party shield)and Healing Prayer (individual party member healing) to keep you alive.
However, you can swap things out to add Righteous Blow (healing you as well as doing damage) and Light-Touched Strike (adding elemental damageto her normal strike, dealing a massive blow). In camp, Devana can say a soothing prayer thatincreases the health regenerationof everyone in the camp by 15 percent. This is a nice way to save on potions and other resources such as food.
Zoria - Should you choose Devana or Rosha?
Rosha is usually the best optionhere. Even if you choose a heavily armored tank class, her superior level meansshe’ll likely out-tank youanyway. For any of the squishier classes, she’s the perfect foil to let you practice doing your thing, whether it’s DPS, healing, or otherwise.
If you do want to try andtank through the early part of the game, go for Devanainstead. She can stand by your side and both take and deal out some blows, while also being able to heal you if things get a bit too intense.
